How far in advance should I book?

We normally start booking 18 months in advance.

How should I show up to my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Please show up with clean, dry hair and facial moisturizer applied.  An additional $25 fee will be applied to services that require blow drying.

How do I reserve my date?

Submit a completed contract and a provide the $400 retainer fee (applied to wedding day balance) to reserve your date.

Why does your (Kelly) services cost more than your stylists?

Kelly has been in the wedding industry for nearly 15 years, worked alongside industry leaders like David Tutera and has been featured in several wedding magazines.  Experience is like fine wine, it gets better with age and it costs a bit more. However, like a glass of your favorite reserve, it is worth every penny.

Do you have a service minimum?

Yes, we have a $400 minimum and this does NOT include the bridal preview.

How experienced are the members of your team?

Currently, the least experienced member on the Knight and Veil Team is a seasoned 5 year hair and makeup artist.  Each member of our team is highly vetted by me, Kelly.  We hold quarterly training events to make sure each stylists is staying on top of trending styles and performing at the Knight and Veil standard!

What happens if I change my hairstyle after it is complete?

If you are unhappy with your look we will correct it.  If the style needs to change for any other reason an additional service charge of $85 will be applied to the balance.

Are your artists certified in Hair and Makeup

All of our artists are legally able to perform hair and makeup services in the state of California.

Why are your prices slightly higher than other vendors?

Coupled with expertise, our services also include professional airbrush application, eye lash extension and travel (within 50 miles of 92563).

Will the same artist who does my preview do my wedding?

Yes, absolutely.  In the unlikely event a family emergency, natural disaster etc happens we will make sure you are paired with artist who performs at the same level.

Do you offer any discounts?

yes, we offer a 10% discount on the bridal package (bride hair and makeup) for weekday wedding and a 10% discount for active duty militaty and/or their spouses (multiple discounts cannot be applied).

We accepts, cash, check, credit (3% surcharge), venmo, and Zelle (formerly known as Chase quick pay).

Unfortunately not.  We understand you are on a budget, but we feel our prices are aligned with industry standards when taking our experience into consideration.

Yes, our team of hair and makeup artists have accomodated wedding with up to 25 services.  We love a challenge.

Travel fees ($50) only apply to venues outside the 50 mile radius from area code 92563.

What happens if the bride or additional services miss the appointment time established in the contract?

Although there is a 15 minute grace period, an additional $30 fee will be applied for each additional 15 minutes past the appointment time.

Will the wedding day stylists stay for touchups and veil placement?

Accepted Answer

All of our hair and makeup products are long lasting and should not need touched up.  Stylists will be present no longer than 15 minutes past the last appointment time.  Artists are available for additional time at a rate of $75/hr (there is no prorated fee).
